Frequently Asked Questions
My parents are looking at downsizing, but are not ready to move yet. Is it helpful to meet now or should I wait until they are ready to move?
It is never to early to start talking about the many steps involved in making the transition to a new home. Many people are not even aware of all that is involved and often start preparations way too late and become totally overwhelmed. We offer a no-cost, no-obligation consultation to review our menu of services so you can determine how we might be able to help.
I live out of state and it would be difficult for me to leave my family for an extended time. I’m worried that there is so much to sort through in my Mom’s house that she will be overwhelmed without my help?
More often than not, we find that family are either out of state, or have job or other commitments that make it difficult to help their loved one through the task of moving. That is exactly why Senior Move Partners was founded…we will be your eyes and ears and hands. We facilitate all aspects of the move and will keep you informed as you request…even sending digital photos of each step along the way. We are truly your partners in moving.
How do you charge? What if I don’t need all the services you provide?
You select the services you would like Senior Move Partners to provide. We offer a full menu of services so you can identify how we can help. Since no two moves are alike, we offer a no cost consultation to review your specific needs to aid us in preparing an estimate of costs.
My Mom can not move out of her home until it sells. But we want to be ready so we can be flexible with the buyer's closing date. How can you help?
This is a great opportunity to maximize the selling price of your Mom’s home. Senior Move Partners can help de-clutter and organize her possessions with an eye toward her eventual move. In the process, her home will present better to potential buyers. When she is ready to move, much of the pre-move process will have been accomplished.
